Why is Spanish Fashion way under most of European Countries? Because too many people working in the fashion industry in Spain doesn't know how to interpret Fashion. Perfect example of this is this Spanish Stylist and Personal Shopper featured today in
Zoe's blog (more pictures at her blog). Yolanda Sacristán (
Vogue Spain's Editor in Chief) wrote a letter some months ago declaring that Spanish Women were afraid of dressing well. My opinion is that if our references (magazines and papers) aren't as good as Paris', Italy's & UK's, then average people that don't have access to international magazines will not be used to trends, dressing chic or being risky with criteria.
¿Por qué la Moda Española está tan debajo de otros países Europeos? Porque demasiada gente que trabaja en la industria de la moda en España no sabe interpretar la Moda. Un perfecto ejemplo de esto es esta Estilista Española y Personal Shopper que sale hoy en el blog de Zoe (más fotos en su blog). Yolanda Sacristán (La Directora de Vogue España) escribió una carta hace unos meses diciendo que las Mujeres Españolas tenían miedo de vestirse bien. Mi opinión es que si nuestras referencias (revistas y periódicos) no son tan buenas como las de Paris, Italia o el Reino Unido, entonces la media de la gente que no tiene acceso a las revistas internacionales no estará acostumbrada a las tendencias, a vestirse chic o a arriesgarse con criterio.
